Help - ordered furniture - received incorrect items - compensation.... 6 month wait!

Hi All,
Im new to this forum, but need advice...
We ordered a corner sofa and recliner from a well known furniture company (7 letters).
We received the wrong items. Basically we ordered the correct items but the store went on to order the incorrect items from the manufacturer. The corner sofa was built the wrong way around.
We have already waited 12 weeks. The store have admitted liability and have reordered the furniture (both items as it is leather). We have been offered £100 compensation. Effectively we are waiting 6 months for an item that should have been delievered within 12 weeks.
We have been paying for numerous phone calls with customer services who keep redirecting me back to the store to discuss compensation. I asked to speak to a manager and again they said I should do that with the store as it is their mistake...
... Is it me... surely compensation could be dealt with via customer services... they are the same company...
Between myself and my partner we will have had to take 2 days off work, to take delivery of the wrong sofa, then hopefully the right one in 12 weeks time!
I need advice please on claiming compensation. I do not feel that £100 is acceptable when we are spending £2000 on our new furniture.
I really look forward to reading your helpful tips!
