    Morning :)

I have a snotty and coughing Frog today which will be fun as she'll want to sit on my lap and watch tv most of the day inbetween running abou pt and playing with her toys. Currently she's turned her ikea chair upside down and is climbing over it - not really ill but not quite 100%.

I shall drag her into the nearest big town this afternoon after her nap, she can whinge in her buggy whilst I have a mooch around Wilkos and the pound shop :) I might let her out for a bit to walk on her reins but usually it ends in tears. Usually hers but sometimes mine (well inside anyway!) contrary and obstinate child!

I need to get yet another poppy, 4th so far this year. I keep losing the black centre that holds it all together. Not a problem to give more money to the poppy appeal but I wish I could keep one for more than a few hours. Frog's one is safely pinned to her buggy.

Dinner will be homemade chicken burgers and veg for Frog and either pasta or pork escalope for DH and I depending when he's likely to be home. He was due home for 8pm last night but didn't get home until almost 2am thanks to idiots kicking off in parliament square. Meh.

Hope you all have a good day xx

    Morning all

Hilstep :grouphug: it's a vile feeling

tru :T:T:T (hide your clean crockery ;))

nmlc - husband's office is the same, not enough staff to cover the service level and then questions about delays. Two people cannot do the work of 5 but that is what Govt policy has lead to.

More sewing for me today and I'll have a go at getting the fleece liners up inside the thinner curtains. Might be funny: I imagine myself swinging from the pelmet, but the reality will probably be that I can't reach as the steps will be too short and the step-ladder is in the garage where I can't get it.

DH is going to apply for a blue badge. He had to park so far from the heart clinic at the hospital yesterday that he really struggled to walk to the clinic and was worse coming back after the monitor had been fitted. It must have been bad for him to make the decision.

Tonight we shall dine out - a local pub offers 2 meals for £10.95 :).

    Hugs all round x

    Hi everyone,

I really don't feel like posting but if I don't I know that it will happen again and again and I'll recede back into lurkdom. I'm feeling quite down because the doctors have finally admitted that mum is not very well at all durr!. I'm also cross because 6 months ago they took her off most of the medecine she was taking for her heart failure becuase they were affecting her kidneys. Since then I've been saying that she needs something else but the gps have just said her heart is fine! Well, guess what, she is now in hospital with fluid built up around her heart and they are trying to reduce that. I'll ring in a little while and see how she is this morning.

Sorry for the rant, I shall try to keep busy today. I hope everyone else with troubles has a better day.

    Good morning everyone :j

Well it's very wet and cold again today. I'm debating whether to give weightwatchers a miss as I have to stand around waiting for a bus then walk through the town to the meeting. I haven't been for 2 weeks though so I do really need to go to face the music.:o Argh, I will go, I need to get a few things from town anyway so I might as well go and get wet :D.

The evil kittens are driving me crackers! They are going crazy because they won't go out in this horrible weather so they are ganging up on me and taking it in turns to raise my blood pressure . They keep jumping on the table, pulling things out of bins and knocking over stuff. I really need to declutter my dining room or else I will declutter the kittens.....not really, I do love them but somedays....Arrrgh.

Just wanting to send a big hug to hilstep and a massive thumbs up to tru, I like your style :D. Hope everyone manages to have a good day despite the weather. Take care and as always gentle hugs to all who would like one.
    Cheers m'dears x

    Morning all,

Hugs for Molly, snoozer, Hilly and anyone else who wants one
Tru I admire your discipline, I would have given in and washed them and then moaned afterwards, good for you.
I didn't get to make my stuffed peppers last night as I ended up at the emergency dentist with a cracked tooth:eek:, one temporary filling later and I feel much better. Tea instead was left over sausage casserole.
    Very wet and miserable here.
Dumpling I feel your pain re WW. I went for years with varying amounts of success, I don't know why but the emphasis seems to have gone from what I weigh and is more about how I feel. Since I gave up wheat and became Gluten Free I've lost a few pounds but I feel much less worried about what the scales say.
I've started on my Christmas presents at long last and I'm hoping to have it more or less finished this week. I really want to get them wrapped and cards written then I can relax in the run up to Christmas with my leg being out of action and using crutches, I want as little stress as possible.
Anyway better get on, have a good day x

    Hello all!
Still feeling a bit ropey, but need to move my behind, house is a tip and need to make a start on the Christmas presents! Training day tomorrow, working Friday then on holiday for a week, so will catch up on some housework next week. Must load the WM, no washing done since Sunday!
Hugs to all in need, have a good day all!
