Police also said Miss Hudson - who is at a relative's address with police family liaison officers - was not bitten by the dog.
How is that possible? If she was fighting the dog trying to save her daughter, stabbed it - the dog did nto bite her? How?0 -

It only says French Mastif cross plus that it was with the family for 4 weeks only. In one place as family pet, in another that they were looking after the dog for a friend.
What a terrible tragedy - WHY would someone allow a small child like that with a massive unknown (you can not get to know a dog in 4 weeks) dog - from the photos it is clear the child had no fear of a dog and it was way too close way too soon...
Such a tragedy...
Got a lot of the facts wrong there, gettingready. You don't work for the Daily Mail, do you?0 -

They should report the bare facts - young girl killed by dog - until they have the TRUE facts. The press and tv news in this country are pathetic.
The story started yesterday with pictures of the girl and the supposed killer dog which was a Dogue de Bordeaux. That turned out to be her uncle's dog and not the dog that killed her. However I heard that 1 rescue centre alone had 12 calls from owners of DDB's wanting to rehome them. Ok those owners are stupid hysterical people (if a dog of the breed I have attacked someone it would not make me think even for 1 second of getting rid of him) but there are now going to be even more dogs in overfull rescue centres that shouldn't be there thanks to our gutter pressThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -

All the incorrect information you regurgitated from the news. All you did was perpetuate incorrect information. Makes you no better than the Mail, in my opinion.0 -
The rescue centre might've done tests with the dog and it might've been child safe, but no one can guarantee that as no one will know what stimulus provoked the dog into attacking. It could've been ill, the poor little girl could've moved too fast, it could've felt threatened (even unjustifiably), we will never know.
Like someone said, the DDBs and certain what might be called 'nasty' breeds that I've met, Rotties, pitbulls, staffys I've met have been a pleasure. The nastiest, most vicious dogs I've met have been small dogs, predominantly Jack Russells.
There are a pair of Jacks that are walked near me and regardless of whether they're walked past people, children, dogs, cats, as soon as they see anything with a heart beat they are baring teeth, snapping, growling, it's incredible, but no body is interested until an incident happens!0 -

Really? Very interesting as I did not get anything wrong. Papers did.
Besides read again and what I wrote and you quoted as wrong, (despite being based on incorrect information given out by the press at the time) was/is correct0 -
This quote from the Mail just leaves me speechless...
"The mother of the four-year-old girl mauled to death by her pet bulldog had seen a sign at the re-homing centre warning it was not suitable for children but was told it was 'fine as long as he wasn't allowed tojump up'."
I mean.... seriously??!! You see a sign like that and then choose to gamble the safety of your child on some stranger you don't even know saying "oh, it's okay". Yes I'm sure the mother is jumping up and down and blaming the rescue centre but as far as I can see the only one to blame is her, stupid, stupid woman. :mad:DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244
