How about just giving a link to suspected shill bidders on ebay.
There's nothing wrong with that and if a few people start reporting the same dodgy sellers, there is a possibility (although a small one), that ebay may act on the reports.
I've just reported the listing for the bog seat that the seller in the link provided in the 2nd post has for sale (same shill bidder as their previous auctions).0 -
This forum does not encourage a name and shame policy for ebay as it could so easily be used to falsely accuse a competitor.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That's understandable, but surely simply giving a link to an item for sale and asking if anyone else thinks there is something dodgy going on isn't accusing anyone of anything, simply asking for opinions.
There are plenty of similar threads on the ebay.co.uk forums and they seem to be allowed on there.0 -

They are not allowed on the community boards either, but they seem to be completely lawless at the moment.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Maybe the ebay community board moderators are so embarassed about the way that ebay totally ignore shill bidding that they think it's better to simply ignore the posts concerned rather than have to admit that a problem exists with regards to shill bidding.0 -

I haven't seen a pink on there now for weeks. They have even ignored threads arguing about Ebid which they used to pull, or maybe they just don't see it as competition.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
