Thomson Changing Holiday

Hi long time lurker looking for some advice. We have booked an all inclusive holiday with Thomson holiday for December. They have just emailed today to say that they made a mistake and all inclusive drinks are now not included. They say they will refund for this but I want what we paid for originally. Before I call them up I just wondered if they are able to do this? Has anyone had anything similar happen to them? Thanks

If drinks are not included and they are refunding you, whats the problem ?

The problem is I paid for all inclusive including drinks and now they are going back on the original deal offered. It is an expensive place and what they are offering as a refund will not cover what we will spend on drinks. I also wanted all inclusive so we did not have to take alot of money with us.
  • Does the resort offer a drinks inclusive package? Have Thomson given you the option to cancel?

Does their terms cover such situations? Do their terms state when a contract is formed? When did you book it?

The problem is op purchased a package including drinks, had they been happy for a different package then that's what they would have chosen

Are they saying the hotel doesn't actually offer all inclusive drinks?

If so, you would need to look in to a full refund or change of resort.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Hi they are saying the section we are staying in (adults only) does not havethe all inclusive drinks included. I have asked for a full refund but as theydo not class it as a major change to the holiday there would be a cancellationfee of £1300 which I think is outrageous. We booked it in August and fully paid in October I have been through their terms and conditions and feel they should offer us a full refund as they have changed the holiday not us, but they are hiding behind the fact they view it as a minor change. Is there anyone I can complain to? Thanks for all your help.

Try calling ABTA to see if they can help - surely if you book All Inclusive and they change it so it's not that should be classed as a major change

Well if it doesn't have an all inclusive option any more, then they have changed the holiday.

I would write to them asking for either a FULL refund as they have made a major change to the holiday, or to re-instate the inclusive drinks.

Did you book the adults only section at the time of booking or did you amend it at sometime? What hotel is it?
