I just got my Nectar card vouchers today. One is for use in Sainsburys, and gives you 1500 points when you spend £4 on butter or margarine! !!!!!!, do you know how much this is?!
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

If I understand correctly the Nectar points coupons are not scanned at the till but sent somewhere and the points are added later. When you buy butter I would try handing it over to see if the checkout assistant just accepts it and doesn't bother checking you have spent the £4.0

you can always freeze butter, and 1500 points will get you a cd from cd wow (even more during the 1/2 price week in july)
If you don't need it.....:D0 -
Sorry but what's the issue here: Having to buy butter for points or the price of butter?!!0

Having to buy so much of the stuff in one go. And the possible effect on your arteries and cholesterol level.
PS. It was only 150 points. I've adjusted the repeat rate on my fingers. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Well don't buy it then!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

I recenty got a load of vouchers for free blocks of Lurpack, as well as money off. They didn't have a very long date on them, so I went to the shops, bought as much butter as the vouchers allowed, came home, chopped the blocks in half and froze it. Butter freezes perfectly, I've now got a good few months supply in the freezer and it didn't cost me much at all
£4 is really only four blocks of butter, it's not that much to freeze ...

I just threw my vouchers in the bin as I'm not going to buy 5 packs of butter - I use about 1 pack every 6-8 weeks! If you want the rainbow, you've gotta put up with the rain :hello:0

Sorry, I just love butter, but we don't buy it as my DH on cholestrol medication. Over the years before his diagnoses afraid I bought marge as being a wee bit OS and couldn't really afford it. Treat myself occasionally but would anything I buy any carry out sanies, rolls etc shop bought doesn't have butter on them!
But you can't beat the taste of butter can you? My mIL is 87 and has eaten butter and fried bacon regularly all her life - is it out modern post war metabolism? More excema and allergies than there ever was years ago. Climate change and dietary change with E numbers?
Not totally relevant to your post but just a wee comment. Just a few wee thoughts.
