This is fantastic news Nannytone :D really really pleased for you. x

Lovely to pop back to the Forum and see something good happening
    long time, no see!
hope youre ok and doing well.
until april, things were looking pretty dire, but everything has completely turned on its head and the future is looking much better for me.

the council reclassified the only 2 one bed flats from supported housing to geberal use and i badgered the HA until they let me have one!

its 2 doors away from where i was living before and has a nice big garden to boot!
now the good news about DLA ( it was a fight though) and everything is coming up roses ;)

need to find something else to get annoyed about now though as sitting pretty doesnt really suit my personality ....

That was like me when a few weeks back after a fight of over a decade for respite help, I was finally given a (small) budget to pay for someone to take youngest out on odd occasions to give me a break or for trips for the family with someone to help out with him.

He won't take up the going out with someone alone but the being able to pay the extra admission/fuel costs for someone to help out on family trips is going to be priceless.

Good for you! :T:T:T As you say, it might only be a small budget, or my extra hour, but it adds up. I actually feel like I've won the pools (showing my age ;)) or the lottery.

    Enjoy your outings. :)

now im certain i wasnt imagining it ;)
im incluned to put the heating on full blast and run around naked ... just because i have the money now to pay the bill without worrying...
but that would traumatise too may young children that have to pass my flat on their way to school :)

Blimey Nanny,:eek: the next thing you'll be saying is that you're gonna blow the candle out and put a light on instead!!!!
