In addition to GPEOL Parking Eye have a letter they sent to another MSN member here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/63687448#Comment_63687448 post #52 on.

Try adding this additional point as well with a copy of the linked letter unless you have a copy sent to you. This is back up in case POPLA have a rethink on GPEOL between now and your appeal.

    Hi all, quick update.

I received another letter in the post today reminding me to pay the fine by 14/11/2013 otherwise the amount would jump to £100.

I lodged my appeal with Parking Eye on 07/11/2013. There was no confirmation email or anything, what should I do now, should I ring them and tell them this or should I lodge another appeal online?

    Thanks,

    Simon

ParkingEye are masters at losing things. Send an email to enforcement@parkingeye.co.uk asking why you have not had a reply to your appeal, plus a copy of the appeal. Consider also posting a copy and getting a free certificate of postage.

That way your bases are covered.

    As above and:

Be sure to add that your add the date of your original appeal was sent and remind them that whilst considering any appeal no further attempts to collect parking charges should be made and they are breaching their COP as described by the BPA.

Ignore that - clearly it's a computerised letter everyone gets and it crossed in the post with the weekend being in between. Really not sure why so many people post about that reminder template letter when it's obvious it's simply crossed in the post with a letter/appeal which was only sent/received last Thursday/Friday...

...for once I am on PE's side (almost), this is a big office with standard letters already printed to go. Ignore the reminder, keep it but wait.

Is it not worth emailing/ringing at all and asking if they have received my appeal?

    Thanks,

    Simon

I would never ring PE if you paid me! Not worth speaking to IMHO.

But you could send a follow up on their appeal online system if you must but all this fuss seems to me a bit daft when people panic about that standard reminder. It really does just cross in the post, of course, as you only appealed on Thursday they won't have logged it in time to have stopped the reminder. Seems obvious to me but then I have worked in big offices in previous jobs; I realise plenty of people have been lucky enough not to!

OP - yours will be one of thousands of communications received by PE from disgruntled motorists each week. It will be busier at Chorley Towers than a Bangladeshi sweatshop, so your 'couple of days' may be a bit optimistic.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
