Good Morning,
After lurking for a while I thought I would join and say hello
I'm 36 and a SAHM to a 19 month old daughter nicknamed Frog, I'm also 15 weeks pregnant with #2 code named Bob. Frog goes to nursery two afternoons a week which I am throughly enjoying (as is she :rotfl:).
Today I will be twiddling about at home in the morning doing housey things and watching Frog, then this afternoon while she is at nursery I am doing some accounting work for one the NCT dads.Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Morning!
:bdaycake:Happy Birthday betheebee, hope you are doing ok and have a nice day x
Well done Miss dumpling, there'll be no stopping her now
Jools, hope you feel a bit better today.
Camelot-hope you hear about your moving day soon.
Sounds like the school at the back is back at school today.DH and DS2 have started on their next job,but it is out of town so DH is setting off really early as he is picking DS up first.Late back last night too,so it felt a long day as I got up too to sort Lyla out.
I need to get something out of the freezer, last night we had some ys lamb steaks that had been in there a long time, but marinaded them in lime and rosemary so they were tasty enough. The chest freezer could do with a defrost too,the top basket won't sit on properly, but its not empty enough yet.
I made a few more xmas cards yesterday afternoon, then had a nice walk in the fields with Lylapup-won't be as nice this morning as it's chucking it downbut better go and get my boots on.
Have a good day folks x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hi all,
Still full of cold, so I'm feeling very draggy today and the weather isn't helping. I waited in all day for a delivery yesterday and it didn't come, grr so I've got to stay in again today.
Mollie, I'm sorry you are having such a hard time at the moment, I hope things get better.
I'm having a worrying time with mum, she is in hospital again (about the twelfth time since May) and I need to start looking at options as I don't know how much longer she will be able to live by herself.
Not a lot will be going on here today. I want to finish the kimono I started yesterday and have a tidy round but that is all.0 -
Morning all,
Welcome to Icey77
Jools - I hope you are feeling better.
Dumpling - Congrats to your DD
Molly41 - You do have a lot to contend with ATM.
Bit damp here this morning, towels on airer and in TD. Have cleaned the house this morning and put Horseradish Beef in the slow cooker. Will have it with roast spuds and parsnips and cabbage. yummy!
Off to meet my dad for 'Afternoon tea' this morning at M&S. He has one of their cards and they send a voucher when it's your birthday. We tried to have it in half term but one or other of us was busy.
DH is mending a neighbours roof today (town house) so I'm a bit worried as it looks windier up there. I suppose the storm last week has been good for business as it's been fences and leaky bits for him since.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Afternoon All,
Well done to Miss Dumpling for passing her test. Another taxi driver available to you Dumpling - remind and guilt trip her of all the running around you had with her over the years and it is payback time when you want to go for a wee night out with alcohol! :rotfl:
Another pleasant day here, but very cold again.
Gosh it is hard to believe that it is 5 weeks since I retired; I don't miss it one bit! Nice and relaxed and enjoying all the spare time.:j :j
Just wish I could get my pension sorted, I am owed an awful lot of money. I have heard a number of horror stories over the last couple of weeks where our HR and Pensions Depts have messed up with numerous people (some of whom I know well that retired in last 3 years). A troubleshooter has been tasked with going in and reviewing procedures to improve things.
Anyway, have a good day everyone :beer:0 -
Hi all.
The bungalow seems very empty today, as Jessie went home yesterday afternoon. Just waiting for a call to tell me someone else wants to stay.:o
Camelot, the reply yesterday from Hester is correct – bitza this and bitza that = a Bitzer.:D
Congratulations to Miss Dumpling on passing her driving test.:T
Hoppy Birdday Betheebee.:bdaycake:
Falleniceangel how are you today? I've often had to cry off from events due to my health, so I can sympathise. Flippin' annoying, isn't it?:o
Molly if it's any comfort to you at all, Mr LW's mum had a shunt in her head; and she was so much better afterwards, he tells me (he loves talking about his mum) so hopefully, whilst not something you'd choose, all things being equal, it will help you.:o
Icey welcome to the Daily.
I have to make a batch of yogurt today; and Mr LW wants me to make a choccie mousse, but that's going to mean a major round of fridge Tetris, to get the dishes in once it's made. Oh well, it'll give me something useful to do, I suppose.:D
Actually, I have numerous tasks that need doing, but my GUAG has done a runner – probably the BD chased it off.:( Dratted BD meant I was still lying in bed staring at the ceiling at 03:00 last night.:( I'm at my wits' end for how to get a decent night's sleep; I've tried all the usual things, warm bath (wakes me up as it's such hard work taking a bath, and in any case Mr LW has to assist me), hot milky drinks, hop pillows, lavender, passiflora, valerian, meditation, Temazepam, even tried counting sheep! Being in constant pain doesn't help – even the morphine doesn't take it away completely these days.:( Oh well, I suppose there's worse things in life, and I shouldn't whinge.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

....There is always one of them to worry about, it's my own fault for having four...
I've only got 2 and I still worry about them both... I have to make a batch of yogurt today; and Mr LW wants me to make a choccie mousse, but that's going to mean a major round of fridge Tetris, to get the dishes in once it's made. Oh well, it'll give me something useful to do, I suppose.:D...
LW how much rosemary do you put into your chccoy mousse please? It always sounds so scrummy but I haven't yet got the proportions right0 -

Actually, I'd better get my butt in gear and go and do that, while I can still see the rosemary bush!:D It sure gets late early these days!:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
