Good luck making a complaint. I had a mobile had nothing but problems, no reception, switching itself on and off Tesco did nothing!. I was not alone.

I have now taken it legal and written to Offcom. To top it off my last bill they over charged me by over £116 on cancelation fees ! nice!Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -

the OP also states that the T's & C's states that the customer can cancel before going live without charge.
Admittedly I could have phrased my reply better. But it's not impossible that the billing system has wrongly recorded the line as going live (given that the due live date was 3 months ago) and calculated the termination bill accordingly? If the line was registered as live and then cancelled, then a £30 cease charge would be generated too by BT and passed onto Tesco?
Impossible to say without a breakdown of the £63 charge. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Latest update: they didn't charge me the £63 disconnection charge, but they are refusing to refund me for the three months that I didn't have a phone line or internet. I have asked for a deadlock letter and will be going to Ofcom, requesting additional costs for the time I've wasted dealing with this.
On the plus side, I do now have the internet (with Virgin), which, although more expensive, is fast and works, plus the customer service is very good.0
