Pop-up boxes want to install but can't

In the last fortnight, each time I start up my Acer Aspire 9420, I am greeting with a number of pop-up boxes. As best I can, I have noted what they say and tried to follow their instructions to no avail. It's now a case of hitting the red cross to remove the boxes each time they arrive in rapid succession. After about a dozen hits, they give up and I am able to surf. This is what they say in this order:-
*Windows Installer
*Preparing to install Acer OrbiCam Application
*Gathering required information
*The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is (can't read my writing here but it looks like unused)
*Click again to try again or try alternate path to a folder containing the patch "orbicam.msi" in the box below.
*Error 1706
*No valid source can be found for product Application Orbicam.
It then repeats the process until it gets fed up and stops, that's when I surf.
The only time the cam is used, is for Skype to daughter. I have removed Skype completely, closed down, started up again, but the boxes re-appear, so Skype doesn't seem to be the cause.
I'm now going to re-install Skype as it may be needed later today.
and yes, the ruddy pop-up boxes return. How can I remove this?

Thanks for being there. Can I just say that if I enter "orbicam msi" in search (on start up page) it is found, it appears as a program. If I then click on it, those boxes start to appear. Further to that, orbicam appears in task bar and if I hover over it, the tiny acer orbicam settings box appears.
Clearly I don't want to do anything that stops my laptop webcam working as we use it for skype. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
If you note down the location of "orbicam.msi", i.e. its full path which will look like, C:\Temp or something, then when the pop-up box appear, type that full path (or if it has a "browse" button, navigate to it) into the box where it says "*Click again to try again or try alternate path to a folder containing the patch "orbicam.msi" in the box below". That way the installer will find what it's looking for.0

When you search for the file, and it shows up, if you right click on it it should give you the option to "show file location" or "open file folder" or such like. (Sorry I'm doing this from memory on a tablet). In the bar at the top should be the full path of the file, something like what you see in the "Use Source" box in your screenshot. If you highlight it all, copy it, then paste it into the "use source" box, the installer should then find the file it wants and carry on.0

Have you un-installed it yet?

Nifty, been waiting for you (lol), where should it be uninstalled from? add/remove? and if so, won't that stop webcam working ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Let me stop and have a think.
1), is the webcam defunct now and if so, don't I have to reinstall something?
2) now what about ccleaner. You say can do so is that necessary?
3) presumably the ccleaner is a live link which would take me somewhere (but haven't looked)
4) driver to what exactly ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
