Samsung genio slide - unlock???

DD phone being repaired and we still have a Samsung genio slide that is working and she is using.

She had the Genio from Vodafone in 2010/11 on PAYG (it replaced a broken contract phone).

She is now on contract with Talkmobile and when she puts her sim in the Genio it works fine aside from constantly sending me a text saying

:Keep this message
From me
IMEI xxxxxxx

It also sends itself to her when she sends a text.

Does the phone need unlocking or does she just need to change the settings?

It's just the security settings in the phone letting her know that the SIM has been replaced from the one that was in the phone when that option was turned on. Just go into the settings and turn it off.

I guess it is so long ago when you set it up that you've forgotten.
