TSB won't give my a/c info to Santander!

I have never had any problems with A &L or Santander, but had the same problem as the OP when I tried to open a new 123 account, in addition to my main Santander account and to switch from TSB.
As my main motive was to be able to set up new direct debits for utilities, I was still able to open the new account and get it up and running without any hassle.
The problems came from TSB, who said there was a discrepancy of some sort, I don't know what, as I onLy ever spoke to Santander. It was resolved over the phone and a new date for the switch was set, one week later than planned.
To be honest, it did not cause me any problems. All was completed successfully.0
