Was the £23 for one breakfast?
I get breakfast every other week at LBA and it's about half that, quite tasty tooChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
another vote for Faroredmike123 wrote: »The cost of food and drinks at Faro airport is a disgrace. Its a horrible airport, really busy with a shortage of places to sit. The cafes are really busy, and offer couldn't care less service with a snarl. its a horrible place, best got through quickly.0 -
In the UK we use:

Compared to Faro, Lisbon airport was good value. Coffee was very cheap, Portuguese can't function without it and all the staff were using the cafes which is a good sign it wasn't overpriced. Cheapest we saw was 1 euro.0 -
Only had a coffee in Ibiza airport recently and it was cheaper than alot of cafes on the island. Strange but true0

It's a funny thing, once drinks were banned through security the prices went up after security by a fortune.
Most airports I have been to in Asia/Middle East are fine, but airports within the UK and Europe are phenomenally high.
If I had to choose the worst (and I have passed through hundreds of airports) it would probably be Sharm el Sheik. I remember a Burger King being the equivalent of something like a tenner :cool:0 -
Last week the bar at Arrecife airport had an offer of five bottles of beer 8 euros, very cheap0

My snack that I bought to take on the plane was a box of Laduree macaroons at around €15! I think it is the only airport in the world I've been in that didn't have some sort of chain fast food place to eat. Good selection of handbags though.
Cdg does have chain restaurants ~ there are mcdonalds in t2 and t1, plus a couple of french pastry and pizza chains, certainly in t2.0 -

Not in terminal 2E unfortunately where many Air France flights depart. Possibly one of the best choices of designer handbag shops I've seen in an airport though. There might have been a Starbucks but nothing resembling pizza or junk food so if you have a connection before a long haul flight take your own snacks.0 -
Fairly sure I paid €5 for a 500ml bottle of Coke in CDG 2E on a steaming hot day at the end of June.
It was certainly a situation I'm reluctant to repeat.0 -
Bodrum Airport's pretty expensive, both for food and drink and the supposed duty free.. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..
