last week I tried to download Firefox but obviously clicked on the wrong link and ended up with some other stuff. In my defence, this is the first time I've done something silly like this in 14 years. :A
I've "uninstalled" what I could find in my programs file but I'm left with one thing and don't know what to do.
When I click on my Google Chrome shortcut I now get a search engine called "mysearchdial". It gives very limited and rather odd search results. I've now added Google Chrome to my bookmark bar but how do I get it back as my default ?
thanks

Unless mysearchdial is properly removed, it will keep coming back. You need to download awdcleaner here and running that tool should remove it for you.
Don't click on anything else on that page just the Download Now @ Bleeping computer button.
If you have any problems, start an new thread on the Techie Board where you will get full guidance. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Thank you so much, I've got rid ! I really must be more careful when downloading programs etc in the future.
