Hi, I've just been going through some things with my Dad and realised he has been paying for lifeline mobile phone insurance from the carphone warehouse for an old phone since 2004 (!) Why do you think that (1) is relevant? Most likely the victim just didn't know that the insurance would keep being renewed automatically.
