Job Centre Service

Hi everyone
I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I had my usual Job Centre meeting on Friday morning to sign on etc and my advisor referred me to a service on Monday morning at 10am, where I would be enrolled so that I can visit said service whenever I like to use the computers, get free postage stamps, get help with writing cover letters and general other advice.
He called up and referred me on to the service and said that I would get an email and a courtesy call that afternoon to confirm everything but I didn't receive either.
The problem is, that I don't know what this service is called, I don't know where it is and as the Job Centre is shut until Monday morning I can't find anything out.
If I can't find out, I will go to the Job Centre as soon as it opens on Monday so I should still have time to get to this 10am appointment.
But does anyone know what this service is called please so I can possibly search for it now to set my mind at rest?
Thanks
Selina

Maybe its on the letter they gave you? The JC would have given you a letter, no?We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

No wasn't given a letter!
My advisor referred me on Friday morning by calling them over the phone, in front of me, and then told me that they would email and call to confirm that afternoon.
I have received neither and my advisor did not give me a letter.
However, I would like to think that I do hold enough common sense to have considered looking at the letter for the information, if they had given me one.0 -
Well since we have no idea what the service was you were referred to, office details, address etc we can't help you can we?
We can only assume its the Work Programme, does that ring a bell?
How old are you and how old have you been on JSA?We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
My apologies.
I am 29 and have been on JSA for two months.
I'm not asking for the actual address, I simply wondered if the aspects of the service were recognised by anyone, and could subsequently give me the title of the service, so I could then search for it online to find the address.
The name Work Programme does ring a bell, I'll look it up.
Thanks and sorry.0 -
Ok if you are 29 then you have to be on JSA for a year before you get sent to the Work Programme so its probably not it. Even if it was we have no idea what provider or office the JC would have referred you to.thelilradish wrote: »My apologies.

Could it be Next Step? My Jobcentre advisor made an appointment for me with Next Step at one stage to help me with various jobseeking stuff like rewriting my CV.0

Whatever it is OP you will be expected to attend there at 10am on Monday so I hope you find out what it is in time to get yourself there.
Get to the Job Centre for 8.30am on Monday and get the info and hope the place you need to be is near or you may face a sanction

Ok, thanks anyway, I've searched these and nothing seems to be coming up for my area (Wiltshire).
Never mind, I didn't realise that different areas have different processes. Yes, AP007, as I said in my original post, I was going to go to the Job Centre as soon as it opened on Monday if I couldn't find the information.
It's just a pain that they didn't email or call like I was told they would. I was told all the information I would need would be in the email so I'm a bit miffed about that.
Ah well, guess this is helping my "problem solving skills" and it could go on my CV...0
