Why?
This has always baffled me as to why people don't want other people to park outside their house.
I'd understand if it blocked a view of the sea or other such nice things, but usually its just a view of the road or the house opposite.0 -

Perhaps this is the case, but I fail to see why people resort to willfully damaging someone else's property without telling them the problem? And as another poster said, there is no law against parking a road worthy vehicle outside someone's house (obviously unless they're blocking an entrance or parking in a designated space).
We used to have people who regularly blocked our driveway. We started leaving paper letters taped to their cars and if they ignored the letters, I wrote on their windows with bright pink lipstick telling them that the drive was private property and that their cars would be towed if they parked there again. It stopped all but one lady who promptly scarpered when I caught her parking there and gave her a piece of my mind.0 -
Having lived at the same house for 20+ years, have there been any problems previously ?
If not, what changed a month ago ?
Eg. Is your dad now parking somewhere different ?
Has he now got a different (bigger) van ?
Any new neighbours ?
Any other disagreement with a neighbour (eg. over dogs, children, music etc.etc.)
Does it only happen on certain nights (eg. only on a Friday after the local pub has a disco) ?
Something must have triggered this change of events.0
