HTC One replacement
Hello there, my HTC One was bought from phones4you on pay&go for £489.95 on the 23rd of March 2013, the same month these devices where launched.
Lately, I noticed that it suffers from build quality which was one of the biggest disappointments of the HTC One flagship when it first launched. The device has a bigger than a hairline gap on top in which tiny residue is getting into, it is big enough to see from a meter away, other issues include, static background noise when making phone calls, mic noise issues upon video recording and hissing noise when receiving certain alerts, all these issues are quite annoying.
I have done some research and it seems that phones4u do not offer replacements but rather sends the phone off to repairs, however, I have read many cases in which customers where given up to 3 consecutive replacements by other retailers or the manufacturer if the phone suffers from build quality.
What are my options? is phones4u obliged by law to replace my phone as I prefer to deal with them than HTC as it seems that their customer service is horrendous.

They have to repair or replace - at their discretion - if the phone is faulty, not because you thing that it "suffers from build quality". And if they decide to replace, it doesn't have to be a new phone and most likely will not. Usually it's a refurb.0
