Advice please: Cheapest way to keep no & transfer texts

Options
Hello all

I currently have an O2 plan for my personal mobile due to expire. I have an iPhone for work, and I want to keep my own number but not carry 2 handsets around.

I have been able to achieve this by forwarding the calls from my personal number and using the TU GO app on iPhone to get and respond to texts via my home number.

Very happy with this arrangement, but the best plan I can get is £8 per month for O2 personal number even though I use 0 mins and about 50 texts per Month.

The 321 package on three would cost £10 per 6 months but won't transfer the texts to my other handset.

Has anyone got a better/cheaper solution than the £8 O2 deal that will allow me to take calls and texts on the same iPhone 5 handset as my work calls and texts?

And do any other mobile companies do an equivalent of TU GO?
