Npower sends Occupier Bill from previous tenant!

Rather Amazing new phone chat with Npower today. New person from Complaints Department (I called again following other Occupier letters). Was told:
-they cannot stop the letters as "Occupier" as they do not have forwarding address OR they never had the name of the Tenant there. I then told them, well that is impossible as one of the Occupier letters had a history of the entire year and showed even payments received (all based on estimate rather then real meter reading) -hence the large unpaind bill.
-at this point, they said: we cannot discuss that account with you! (WOW from me as clearly they originaly lied on the phone).
-said keep RTS but they will not stop for a while now and nothing they can do about it. Eventually they will stop. Said they cannot do anything to me as different account.
So, I think Npower is a really badly organized company. I wrote them an official letter of complaint. I will be counting 8 weeks until I can write to the Energy Ombudsman!0 -

For such a major issue apart from a formal complaint to Npower and the Energy Ombudsman, I would contact your MP, Watchdog, start a petition to Parliament(only 100,000 signatures required). They could call back the PM from Sri Lanka to deal with your case.
We really cannot have computers at the Utility companies actually sending out such letters.0 -

I will keep returning them. I have my own account with npower now from the day I received access to the flat and with the meter reading from that day.
Just worried as not sure what are potential consequences onto the property from previous tenant unpaid bills. In addition to this, we got really worried and stressed when we saw an over 900GBP bill. So, its a weekly npower letter for "The Occupier" that compounds the annoyance and stress.
Npower said to just Return letters, but always better watch over with Utilities firms (as far as I read on this forum).
Its just a house there are no consequences for it.
You can of course just keep returning but if you are bothered by these letters you could also write & complain about them / state that the occupier has left, you have no knowledge of them (assuming true), an account is now open in your name and, feeling stressed & harrassed by this continued correspondence you now expect them to ensure that no further correspondence relating to that tennant or "the occupier" is now sent to you. How they stop them / what they do with those letters thereafter is their problem.
Of course if you do have a forwarding address (or know who does) you could just give that information & they'l then have no reason to contact you.
Whether they can & how they find & pursue that person is upto them but it isn't your problem at the end of the day0 -

That's exactly what I feel so peeved about, their automated harassing letters.,...... So I set up an e-petition. Please consider signing, on 20 so far. Thanks
