Escapade fancy dress shop warning

Options
Well this shower of robbing b**tards have had my order for my son's Halloween costume since 22nd October. I expected delivery by no later than Monday 28th October according to their website, When I got home from work on Monday and it hadn't arrived I checked the site for update, it did say order despatched but not when and no tracking number so I tried to call and it was constantly engaged. It was only when I went on the facebook page on the Wednesday that I saw there was a massive issue. They had put a note on facebook on 25th that there was a problem with their warehouse/courier and there was a backlog and not to worry blah blah blah! There was no such note on their site and they continued to take new orders promising next day delivery (I'd maybe have made a new order just to ensure a costume if they emailed me at the time of the problem but there was no option of this). So far they have chosen to who they reply to on facebook giving some folk updates. I've emailed about four times now and posted on facebook asking for my update but nothing. By the time we realised we would not be getting this it was too late - I took my son to Asda and Morrisons on Wednesday night on the chance me might get something but nothing to fit him - totally gutted to see the look on his face. He has Aspergers and even though I would probably have felt better if he HAD taken a tantrum he just looked so sad and disappointed. :(. I had to send him to school in a crappy old t-shirt with fake blood on it while other kids parade about in all their fab costumes. This company has a shop in Camden and if I didn't live in Scotland I'd have went to the shop personally! As they are apparently working through this backlog and wont reply to emails asking for a refund, it seems I will need to wait for the order being delivered then paying the return postage myself, then waiting a month or so for a refund.

Sorry for the big rant but if it makes folk either order about a month early or preferably from somewhere else!
