Which to try and use?

We're all familiar with Internet Explorer but many choose to take on another browser, whether it be the main one's, chrome, firefox, opera etc, but what about the likes of safari, seamonkey,etc, then what about thunderbird, do you find it all confusing, I do.

They're just browsers, everyone has a favourite or one they get on with.

I use a Mac which comes with Safari but I prefer Firefox so use that one it's just a personal choice.

Picking you up on that then, Firefox coming from the stable of Mozilla as does Seamonkey and various other browsers, so have you been tempted to see what the difference is?

Thunderbird is not a browser it an e-mail client.

They're all very similar, they all just display webpages, and if you don't have any advanced needs, Internet Explorer is very good. I tend to use Chrome to sync with my Android phone, but am agnostic and sometimes use Opera, Firefox, IE as the mood/need strikes. For most people it's not a big deal.

I don't really know what IE is any-more .
But its relatively easy to try every other browser in the market .
Problem may be that if you don't find everything you want in the usual place you may well give up without a proper trial .Heck there are even multiple reviews on browsers .

Sea Monkey more than just a browser but to me it looks outdated and i would gain nothing over my preferred Firefox and Thunderbird for PC and Dolphin plus GMail for Tablet and Smartphone .

No I haven't because Firefox works for me.

I was never a Windows user, even at work, so my only exposure to IE is on friends PCs. To be honest from my limited use I'd say IE was a good browser.

I was a Linux/Oracle database techie so my work PC and Laptop both used Oracle Enterprise Linux as the OS and FF as the browser.

'suppose it makes sense to stay with FF, in view of the fact that it works for me, does what it says on the tin etc. What prompted me was the fact that I've spent a few hours resolving issues I and no doubt many others have had, regarding yahoo and their new mail service. I had organised it to suite me via settings, but then found my addresses in the contacts didn't perform as before. (they didn't appear in drop down box when first letter typed), and yahoo said they wouldn't, but I have proved them wrong. But someone commented (politely) that in other words, this wouldn't have happened with thunderbird, hence my mind went into overdrive, but just for a few moments.

When the forced browser choice came into Windows I read a couple of articles that detailed the lesser known browsers but none of them seemed to be of much interest.

Anybody got any views on Comodo Dragon, particularly compared with Chrome itself?

I rarely use I.E anymore. For the intranet websites at work I.E takes about twice as long to render pages than Firefox or Chrome so is pretty unusable. On my home PC I want Ghostery and Adblock installed, and the I.E addon list seems to be way behind the other browsers.
