Just tried the "Questor" link for car hire excess insurance both with and without the MSE "discount" code. Guess what - same price - what's happening??

Just bought Car Hire Excess insurance (from insurance4carhire), after having tried Questors as per MSE advice. The Questors quote on moneymaxim was not cheapest, but with the promised 15% discount it would have been ...

Except when I entered the details in the Questors buying process (yes, the same details I entered on moneymaxim for the quote process) the price I was asked to pay was way above the figure they had quoted, and even with a 15% discount, was not good value.

Anyone else find Questors to behave like conmen?

Questor are not conmen mate. I've been with them over 6 years and had one claim after 2 years when they paid up £600 without any difficulties. we would not consider using any other company as you can only rate them when you've had accident and had to make a claim. They were very professional and took away a lot of the stress by dealing with it promptly.
