Could try - or could just wait and see if the PPC pay the hearing fee then you submit your full defence evidence anyway nearer the court date.

Or you could send a letter separately to the PPC to rattle their cage and include that stuff in the letter to show them you are no pushover and have researched & defended this robustly. I would do that.

Will be interesting ( for me at least ) to see how SIP respond to this - im my case they have just written back ( twice ) acknowledging letters and saying they are unable to communicate via the appeals procedure and they will reposnd via the defence but I've had nothing back from them recently.

The people bombarding you with advice to complain to DVLA and the BPA are confusing you, stick to the court case.
Both DVLA and BPA are involved in the scam and will do nothing.
    Be happy...;)
  • Result, I have had 2 letters from SIP confirming they are cancelling the parking fine.
  • Thanks for all the help that I received.

I think you mean parking charge notice (not fine)

well done m8, but an interesting read nevertheless

Just to add a note of caution. Check with MCOL that SIP have actually withdrawn the case if what you have is not a "Notice of Discontinuance". It wouldn't be the first time that a PPC has told the motorist that they have withdrawn the matter only to quietly continue with it and obtain a default judgment.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
