NPEPAY Parking Ticket Norwich

Hello,
First time poster (on this username after losing my last) and read some good advice and wanted some a little more personalised.
Parked outside KFC (yum!), Dereham Road Norwich this evening, just to the side outside a computer shop / NICE. Parked there 20 times before but this time my girlfriend managed to get a parking ticket from a company called NPEPAY, who actually printed it off whilst she was standing there!!
It was just before 8pm, shops closed and the guy was obviously waiting for her to go in the shop.
I have no plan to pay it, but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

I gather you or your partner are the registered keeper of the vehicle ? If so wait until the notice to keeper comes, it must be with you between days 29-56 after ticketing.
Once it arrives send an appeal on anything you like, probably just best to come back here for advice. Whatever you do don't pay this scam invoiceWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Are you sure its NPEPAY as there is no such company listed as a member of the BPA, which they would need to be, to get the RK's details from the DVLA.
Could it be NPMPAY instead? They exist.0 -

Needs clarifying by the OP but a classic reason to WAIT and see if they send a Notice to Keeper!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

OP - looking on Google Street View (date June 2012 but the "Nice" shop looks like an in-car entertainment place) - you are talking about a bit of hard standing in front of the shop?
It might be worth popping back there and checking/photographing any signs. Otherwise just wait for the postal Notice to Keeper (assuming you or your gf are the RK) and come back here - if you follow the excellent advice from the regulars you won't be paying a penny. If I had a signature, this is where it would go.0 -
Hello all,
Sorry for the tardy reply, thought they would have sent a letter through by now.
Yes, she is the registered keeper.
There was a 'ticket', more like a receipt, handed to my partner at the time, but so far no follow up. Should I still expect some form of letter?
Sorry, the company is: parkingprotection .co uk (NPE). Sorry I can't post a link as I am a new user!
Thanks for all the help so far!0 -
Just wait for the notice to keeper, it must be with you between days 29-56 after ticketing , or it doesn't comply with pofa 2012When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Yep they are an AOS member so expect a Notice to Keeper next month as long as you are the registered keeper at the DVLA. If it's a company or hired car the advice would be different.
When you get the NTK, compare it to this and spot any omissions:
http://www.parkingcowboys.co.uk/keeper-liability/
And show us what you are thinking of sending as a basic soft appeal to get a POPLA code. You should read any other current threads about appeals and you will find examples. After all you will be waiting for weeks for the NTK.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Was the ticket person on a motorbike?
Either way Jonathan Lecaille Joint director with his wife) accepted a caution for fraud in the early part of 2013. (as did she)
I would write saying that you feel that signs are confusing. no loss was incurred and you do not wish to hand any sensitive data to a self confessed fraudster... ONLY after you get a notice to keeper.
Side line NPE NTKs still have reference to wheel clamping and he even hand delivers them.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Hi,
I also got a 'Notice to Keeper' in that same spot from last month, it was 3pm on a Saturday, but the shop was closed (I checked). I was in kfc for about 10mins! My car is a company car, does that make a difference? Am I better to appeal it or just ignore it? Does anyone ever have any luck appealing them?0 -
