Community Broadband

A request has come into our parish council to install a community broadband service in our village that can be used by residents and visitors in and around our parish hall. As a small community with no telephone currently in the hall, is there a low cost solution to provide a wireless broadband service in our village? If you can provide advice, it would be much appreciated.

    Wireless dongles are not that cheap when the usage maybe rather high.

    Are there going to be shared computers that are monitored or free wifi access for anyone in range?

    Goto the samknows website and do a search for your local exchange and see what services are enabled there.
