Sim - Simple - Simpleton?
Hello, I've looked for the last 1/2 hour on this forum and on the 'web' for a simple SIM for an old phone to be used by my Wife - but to no avail. She doesn't use it much - 30 mins a month plus 20 texts - and mainly needs to it to receive calls.
What I'm therefore looking for is a cheap SIM where I can top up as necessary and don't lose the minutes every month or have to pay a monthly fee - or a small one if I have to (the cheapest I have found is £10 a month but I think that's too much).
Does it exist or am I asking too much or am I a simpleton - I though it'd be easy but it's not.
Can anyone help? - thank you

It depends if this 'old phone' is locked to a particular mobile network and if it is what make/model is it as some can very easily be unlocked. Most networks have free SIM's available from time to time i.e. Orange here. NB. you don't have to top-up £10, £20 etc. that is only to get the texts. T mobile here. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Thank you for the reply - the phone is a SonyEricsson 750 and is unlocked.
So if I were to get a SIM from any of the network providers would I be able to top up as required and not lose the remaining minutes if they're not all used up after say three months.0 -
Yes that's correct, most networks say that you need to make a chargeable call every 180 days to keep the SIM active. As your handset is unlocked, you could try different operators SIM's to find the best coverage in your area. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
