Orange voice mail charges / magic number

Hi there
Can anyone tell me if I use the generic voice mail number as a magic number if that'll stop me being charged?

Don't know about that but if you have a smartphone then use Hullomail app to avoid paying for them.
I used that when with Orange as they charged over 40p per minute for voicemail. Hullomail is also much better than the standard voicemail offering and I would use it even where voicemail retrieval was free.

No you can't, sorry.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0
