If you contact the currency specialists on Martin Lewis' travel money max I imagine that they will have Icelandic Kroner in stock: http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/holiday-money/icelandic%20kronas/collection-london/weeks/500-pounds-worth#results,

Why do you need ISK in the UK? Why not pay with a card and make cash withdrawals in Iceland?

  • I am going on holiday next week to Iceland and wanted to have a small amount of 'pocket money'. I have been unable to access any currency and wondered what was going on. Will take credit card and get cash there.

Why not wait anyway until you get there to withdraw ISK cash? You can always take some GBP cash to change into ISK in case you encounter a problem with cash machines. I don't understand the necessity to obtain cash before you arrive in a country; it's not as if airports are devoid of cash machines and bureaux de change.
