The limits depend on other factors, not credit rating only.
    E.g. income, other credit available/used.
  • Also what level of promotion the company's running at the time. At some times when they launch a new product they can be slightly more "relaxed" about acceptance criteria if it means they hit their sales targets.

My biggest credit limit is provided by MBNA.

As I've just replied to you in your other thread indicating what limit Barclaycard give me, I'll leave it to your imagination what the MBNA provide ;)

Of course, these limits are given because of my credit status, employment history, income, etc.
Naturally I'm not relying on government handouts like you appear to be.

    Atidi,

I'm not relying on government handouts either, that question in the link was asked for behalf of somebody else (they are seriously ill, and might not make it :(),

    so please don't assume.

Can you amend your thread please, and remove that link please Atidi.
  • OP, opening two threads on the same topic. you seem to be rather desperate to be given high credit limit. --- Desperation shows.

If you need credit, you will have difficulties getting it, but if you don't need credit, it's quite easy to come by.

Many major credit cards from high street banks (if not all) might give credit limit that you have mentioned. £5000-£9000 credit limit is not really that high.

What credit limit people will depend on people circumstances e.g (annual incomes, risk, etc) and certainly depend on the underwriter who is assessing the application.
