  • I use Natwest app all the time. To me it is a fantastic way of making sure I have available funds before making a purchase. Also great for making payments on the move. I haven't used or know of anyone using Santander app though I will say, try it and see what you think

I love the natwest app, very easy to pay myself from my business account and great to see what I've been spending.

    Use the barclaycard app too.

I use the Barclays app. Having the app makes it so much easier to log in and check my balance every day, which in turn means I keep a closer eye on my money and every payment that goes in or out. I'm quite fanatical about checking it, which I think can only be a good thing!

I have the Barclays app and absolutely adore it, I dare say I would even stay with Barclays based solely on the app alone, I find it so useful.

Transfers between accounts, paying friends, paying bills, checking balances, paying my Barclaycard balances each month in full.

Its rare that an app is actually better than the full online version it was created to support but I would definitely say this is the case here.

It only lets you transfer money to people and companies you have already done it to, which may seem like a limitation but it means I don't really worry as the worst someone could do if they got my phone and somehow got my 5 digit password (more secure than chip and pin) is pay one of my close friends or one of my bills for me.

Saying that, to send money to companies I've sent it to before they still need to validate the payment with pinsentry I think. So very secure. Only negative is that I probably check it too much :)

Also, love that you can see Current account balance, savings balance, barclaycard balance all in one place! It even shows you your outstanding mortgage balance if your with them!
  • I use Santander, Barclays and First Direct, and think they are all great!

I second this. I absolutely love the Barclays app. I made the OH get it too because he is terrible at paying into the joint account, so we can sit on the couch and I can tell him to do it and he has no excuse to tell me "I'll do it later"!

I use the natwest app and think its great. It shows statements, let's you transfer between accounts, and let's you pay people. It's no good for one off payments though because you have to have registered the recipient and made the first payment on the website.

The only thing that doesn't seem to work as it should is paying money onto my credit card.
