Morning all MIA for a couple of days, although I have been reading.
Had a touch of the black dog which is slowly going, but still on a downer.
Doctor has doubled my statins and has told me to come off them straight away if I get any joint pain......... I am riddled with osteoarthritis animated-smileys-rolleyes-10.gif I said do you mean if my joint pain gets worse ? She then smiled and said at least you know what I mean, she is lovely and just as nice as my other GP who left earlier in the year, but she is leaving too at Christmas and I don't have much faith in any of the other doctors there :( I asked her why she was leaving and she said it was because of the excessive paperwork that they now have to do, she said she didn't become a doctor to do paperwork, she became a doctor to treat patients. I think that this government is an absolute disgrace the way they are running our NHS down :mad::mad:

Hester I would be straight on the phone to payroll and just tell the boss that he is no longer going to do overtime if they can't be bothered to pay him CybermanDlt.gifCybermanDlt.gifCybermanDlt.gif

Redruby I cannot believe that they were so rude :mad: Losing a loved one is traumatic enough, without some arrogant jobsworth being an @$%&*le thxcoojpz1hckzmqm62w1.gif honestly as if anyone would want to steal someone's ashes!
I would take it to the papers and name and shame everyone involved.

    And breathe............................animated-smileys-sport-011.gifOhm..............

    On a brighter note

Happy Halloween everyone animated-smileys-halloween-070.gif enjoy yourselves tonight x

Or for the Pagans among us have a good Samhain x

Judi - the joy of limited profiles is once it's set it's set and you don't need to exclude them from you posts all the time (but you can chose to include them!)

It's my friends birthday today, so I really should go to the pub for a drink with him, it means seeing my ex though as they are good friends so no doubt he will be there. URGH. One pint....

Judi, I fall in and out of love with facebook. I often take myself off for a week but I'm usually drawn back because I'm nosy:eek:
I've had a dreadful afternoon with IBS . It's my own fault for falling off the gluten free wagon briefly. I'm now firmly back on as its so debilitating.
I'm not finding baking without gluten easy. I've had years of developing tried and trusted recipes that everyone loves and they are just not the same without gluten, very chalky and dusty:( I'm happy to bake with gluten for the rest of the family but would just like to develop a few recipes so that I can have the occasional pud.
I shall have to get myself some recipe books.
I picked up a couple of nice jumpers today in the charity shops which should see me through the winter.
Couple of trick or treaters already, will have to save some sweets for DGS for tomorrow night.
Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.

    Hello all!
Been soaked to the skin too many times today, fed up with the weather and its still October, not a good sign!
MIL's sis and BIL are here visiting, so I have 2 lobsters defrosting in the fridge again, am glad they retired to a fishing town and he has lobster pots, because nobody but me will eat the spoils!!!! I also have a bottle of sloe gin, which is shouting drink me, you know you want to from the kitchen....might just sample the tiniest sip later!
No sign of any guisers at the door, although I can hear some kids outside somewhere, if they don't come DD and DS will be scoffing Halloween sweeties and fruit for a while!
Right, am off to put my jammies on and get comfy!
    RIP Iain

    Evening everyone.

Redruby - that is so awful.

nmlc - I just sent them the same photo again. They didn't query it, just goes to show what a con it is!

DH and I went to the Stratford Westfield shopping centre today, I love it there and usually go on the train but the fare has gone up to £20, so when there is more than one person it's cheaper to drive, even with the fiver for parking! and the government want us to use public transport more?!
Couldn't find what I wanted though. DH bought himself a new SatNav, so he was pleased. Had a nice lunch too, which is always good.

Enjoy the evening, Breathless at 9!

Really like Westfield Stratford. Nicer than lakeside & more convenient than Bluewater for me.
  • Judi- I was friends with my friends daughter I was new to facebook, but it was difficult when I asked her if she (mother) had seen what was on it, she was 14 and used to post what she was wearing i.e leopard print pants and bra etc, her mum just said all kids were doing it. I asked if she would be happy if she stood in the middle of London and shouted what she was wearing if it was ok? her mother said " I didn't think like that"
I deleted her after I saw how she was bragging about what she was getting up to at her stables with the 18 year old stable hand. Each to their own I guess but I wouldn't want my daughter to do that or not parent her to make sure she was safe.
My other friend who was friends with her kids friends was very embarrassed after a drunken night out with some photos of her passed out ( she was a teaching assistant at the local school )

Redruby,-I'm sorry about how the person was very rude to your mother they shouldn't have done that. But when my dad died the undertaker made a strong point that they could collect the ashes or I could go to the crem for them but I had to have I.D. Not all families get on sadly. When my dad died we couldn't put it in the paper due to my stepmother would turn up ( they weren't married and had split up ) He was dying of cancer and he had money taken from his wallet in hospital and she would leave notes offering to go to the bank for him ( he was in hospital and was going into a hospice and didn't need it sorted ) She would of taken his ashes in a heartbeat out of spite, so hence why I.D is needed but still they could easy have sorted it out as its not the easiest thing to do in life.

Hi Chums, been offline for a week as my computer caught a bad virus and it completely totalled my hard drive.I sound knowledgable don't :) I but its not me, its the 'puter man who told me.

I have lost all of my photo's and email addresses plus all the data from my machine Grrr I am so not a happy bunny. But he's cleaned it all up and now I have to start all over again.5 years of stuff just vanished.I had a lovely file full of recipes that have gone for a burton as well plus all of my Uni essays. He said that there is a nasty bug floating around that can be picked up via Facebook !!! and he has had to 'scrub' around 12 computers in the past month at least from this blooming thing.
So its back to the drawing board and all my numerous files of family history.I'm sad about the photos though as some are irreplaceable. Why on earth do people put stuff like this on the net.It doesn't make them richer or improve their life in anyway Grrr...
Never mind rant over I am back amongst you once again and no doubt will return to my normal 'sunny self' eventually
Hope you have all had a peaceful week, I have been up to my eyes in grandchildren this week as its half term.Had a nice day out yesterday at Hever castle with the boys and my DD and the sun shone and it was warm enough to picnic in the grounds.
Just trying to work out how I can get the font a bit bigger on here as its a bit on the small size
    Cheers chums
