  • Good morning all

Redruby I am astounded at the way you & your mum were treated. That's disgusting. Even if what they say is correct, then there are ways & means of dealing with it, in a nicer way. It's in,y a spelling mistake anyway. How utterly stupid. xxx

Ds2 didn't cough all night, so the "ganana medseen" as he calls it is working. I feel more exhausted today that yesterday though. I have also got a headache.

I can't believe the time & I've done nothing this morning other than clean the litter tray.

Today I need to carve the pumpkin. Kids want to go trick or treating tonight. We only go to decorated houses. Will put ds2 in the pushchair. He will not dress up, he hates new clothes so trying to get him into a costume would be futile!

I hate this time of he year. Resisting getting stronger anti d's. I do feel dreadful though. I can't be bothered to do anything. I go on the flylady thread so that gives me a bit of motivation.

Right, need to drink this coffee & get on.

    Love (((hugs))) & spoons xxx

  • Oh botheration and lots of Fwords and any other rude words.
Hubby got up, went to transfer money to the joint account and for the 2nd month in a row hasn't been paid for his overtime, he is a very grumpy bunny.
I know the old saying 'Never attribute to malice, that which could be explained away by stupidity'. But why oh why do we have someone so spectacularly stupid doing payroll!!

    Hi all,

HH, if I were OH I'd be insisting that they do another payment - they like to pretend it's impossible but it isn't and it is his money. Can he go to his boss and tell them he won't do any more until it's paid, from what you say that would leave them up s**t creek without a paddle.

RR sorry you had to deal with jobsworths at the crematorium, I hope it's sorted soon.

Well done to Miss Tru, I hope she doesn't eat too many sweets!

I'm having a lazy start to the day but must get on because I have Sis-in-law coming tomorrow for the weekend. Luckily we get on very well and she came with us on our Italian road trip in September.

I want to make Mary Berry's chocolate fudge cake - I'm on a quest for the perfect chocolate cake recipe so any suggestions would be gratefully received.

RR, when you feel up to it, consider contacting your Councillor to make a formal complaint, as otherwise they will keep doing it to other grieving families.

    Afternoon all,

RR I hope that the problem with collecting your Dads ashes is sorted promptly. That's definitely something you don't want or need when your grieving.

Congrats Miss Tru on the new job. So pleased for her.

All is quiet with me. 'Youngest' fell off his skateboard whilst learning a new 'trick' a couple of nights ago and has scraped all his face. He's got a few aches and pains. He's shut himself away in his room.

Hubby has got back ache. He took the tow bar off our old car a couple of days ago and must have pulled a muscle. Ive got him on paracetamol at the moment as he whines a lot and demands attention when he's in pain (unlike me who retreats to be on my own to suffer in silence).

Oh well, onwards and forwards eh?

Facebook ive decided is very hard work. Especially with people you know in real life. Not only have I got my husband questioning every post I make, ive now got a few of the 'God Squad' as Facebook friends. I also
have a 13 year old girl (a friends daughter) who has added me. Love the fact she wants to be my 'friend' but hate the fact ive got to be even more careful about what I post.

I need a new outlet for my ideas, thoughts and interactions.... any ideas anyone?

    Have a good day all,

Judi - You can put people on limited profiles which means they can see exactly what you do or don't want them to see. So e.g my parents can't see my status updates or what other people write on my wall (There's things a parent just doesn't want to know about their child I assume)
  • Judi, you could write a blog, it can be great fun especially when the trolls start to attack.

Thanks for the suggestions re hubby's overtime, it will have to wait til Monday as there is no one in til then.

Thanks for your suggestions. Limited profiles might be a bit much for me to remember escpecially when i'm on my phone and as for a blog . The thought scares me even thinking about it.

One more bit of news. Ive got another school reunion coming up and ive been asked if I can put up an old school friend overnight.

Two social events in one month.... Good job really as the rot was beginning to set in. :)

    Afternoon all,
Just had some leftover chilli for my lunch and a slice of hm ciabatta that is on its last legs but it was good.Still a bit left.

Didnt get on yesterday I dont think,my cousin rang to see if she could visit as she's off for half term and was keen to see puppydog.I usually give her lunch when she comes so it was a bit of a rush, but found some soup in the freezer, one portion of tomato & 1 minestrone so mixed em together, and made a cake in the bm.That took miles longer than it should to cook and it was still hot so nipped to the corner shop for custard in case it was soggy and we had to have it as a pudding but it was ok.We had the custard with it last night instead.Cue talking all afternoon, which meant I was quite late with Lylas walk :o

    Yucky alert-avoid if of a sensitive disposition.:D
On the way down to the fields there was a squashed frog/toad on the road which she spotted a few days ago and tried to liberate before I pulled her off.Anyway yesterday I forgot, and with all the rain it wasnt stuck anymore so she grabbed it _pale_ and I was fishing around in her mouth to get it out, which luckily I did -thankfully we were nearly home so I could have a good scrub :eek:I need eyes in the back of my head.

Been to pick up DS2s prescription, usually the chemist near us gets it and then delivers but he doesnt like the inhalers they use so nipped up to the docs and went in the chemists next door where they have 'proper' ones.Called in for a few fresh bits of veg, milk and cheese so I dont need to do my full shop tomorrow,we are still shopping from the freezer.DGD isnt coming tonight as her Mum wants to take her trick or treating just round their cul de sac.

redruby-how rude of them and so insensitive

7 years today since my DDad passed away :A

Right time to get the wellies on for our tramp round the fields.Have good days everyone x
