I'm with the forget the hood and use a brolly post. You said classic with a twist? I've my eye on this one. It's v-neck, which a larger breast needs, otherwise you'd look matronly, it has the hourglass shape to it, and I'd say it's classic but on trend.

There's one on asos like that that I like too,and a belted skater coat (leave the top open)

The problem I have with umbrellas is I need both hands free for ds (he's 2:1 with everyone else and getting bigger...).

Think I'll stick with the wax jacket,or maybe something else if I can find it,for wet days and proper nice coats for nice days :) May ebay my old wool coats and get a new one, probably a nice biker skater style

A rain hat is another option if you don't want a hood or a brolly.

Oh shegirl, I know exactly how you feel about coats. I have loads of coats and I hate all of them (apart from my fake fur zebra print but that's a bit OTT for work!)

I saw a girl wearing a lovely belted raincoat/jacket the other day. It was navy blue with dark orange trim, it was slim-fitting and it had a hood. Why oh why didn't I stop her and ask her where she got it?

TBH though, with lily white skin, flaming tresses and an hourglass figure, I don't think you've got too much to worry about if your coat is a bit dull. You should try being middle-aged, mousey-haired and built like a teenage boy, like me. I could look frumpy in a wedding dress :(

I've lost count of how many brollies I've got through :rotfl: It's so gusty here they end up blowing inside out and breaking. Hence I always get a winter coat with a hood! I usually get them from EBay, as coats are so expensive to buy brand new.
  • i've just ordered the Alissa coat from trespass to try... the reviews are good, and it doesn't look 'too' !!!!!!. All my other coats are wool type ones and my ski jacket is a short one as i got it in a hurry from tk maxx. i hate coat shopping!
