You will need something with a hood, here is a coat with detachable one. I was looking to get the coat for myself.:)

I'd keep the wool coats and take a brolly, waterproof coats are ugly, there's no getting away from it.
It isn't wet as often as you think here in the UK

I like the first one, and would love to know where you got it

I find that rainwear comes up large, so it's easy to end up with one that swamps you or just looks like a sack! I got a nice one 2nd hand from EBay which draws in at the waist, which is quite flattering. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Might not be your cup of tea but I have this jacket in black:

Actually looks pretty smart if you don't buy it too big and they have a sale on atm...0 -
I like the third one best but I think it's because it's the sort of colour I'd choose. Sorry but I think the first one looks frumpy, but it is sooo hard to tell from a small picture and is probably lovely and practical in the flesh!0

The 3rd one is best because it's pink
Seriously, do you need another reason??

I hope it's lovely in the flesh,it cost enough!!! I'm hoping my curves could defrump it to an extent because it's very fitted.

What are your 'must haves'?
If being waterproof is really important then you will need to go for a breathable fabric such as Gore-Tex as other fabrics can actually make condensation build up inside the coat and you get soggy from that.
Remember though that 'shower proof' is nowhere near 'waterproof' and so may not meet your needs.:hello:0
