Afternoon All,
Weather front moving in from the Atlantic has just reached us, heavy showers and strong winds. Have had to put heating on for a while to take the chill off the rooms. Will blow it over to the rest of you later today - kind aren't I?
Just had OH at Doctors as her fibromyalgia has been giving her hell most of this month. She had her medication changed, so hopefully it will have a positive effect. Good news was that her blood pressure was perfect.
Just finished scrambled egg and bacon for lunch.
Have a good day everyone :beer:0 -
I have to go to town tomorrow for a hospital appointment so I will be buying yarn, DD has asked me to knit DGS a couple of Minions for Christmas and a beanie, I might give him the beanie as soon as it's finished as the walk to school is getting cold.

I've just ordered a book from @mazon, which I'll effectively get for free (I have loads of vouchers in credit) looking at dealing with depression from a Pagan perspective. It's got very good reviews, and I am desperate to put the BD in his kennel and shut the door on him. I could've had a Kindle download, but for this, I feel I want an actual paper book in my hand. Does that sound daft?:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Not daft at all LW, I hope it works for you.

Afternoon all,
It's very chilly today but still I won't put the heating on. If I can make it to November I will be pleased
Got a load of washing dry again so can't complain really.
Took DS2 to his dental check up this morning, had to wait quite a long time. We arrived 10 mins early and were in there for an hour all told. At least he goes in on his own and I get to sit and chat in the waiting room.
Dropped him home and then went to the shopping centre for a nose around.
I've sat down this afternoon and just watched last nights Masters of Sex and then I found a programme called Disowned and Disabled which had been on last night. Very sad.
Mince for tea tonight.
Have a good evening everyone0 -
I feel so accomplished with my food shopping today. Theoretically, we will only need to buy 7 more dinners for the whole of November!!
Also this food shopping however, has made me not fancy fish cakes tonight, so much... got to go to waitrose after work anyway, so will have a mooch and see if anything else takes my fancy...
Also redeemed our Groupon voucher for sunday lunch which will be lovely, and as I need to return some shoes that are the value of the groupon, it's like a free lunch!!0 -
Emptied under our bed today and I cannot believe how many pairs of shoes were there
Ended up bagging them up and taking them to the cash for clothes place and got £14.40. That's the first time since I was a little girl that I have been paid for tidying my bedroom :rotfl:
Have another 14 bags of books for charity shop tomorrow. DH is really starting to get onboard with decluttering and says he is loving the difference he can see. It's taken a long time but I believe we can get there now :jLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Just an update, I got my coat. I saw some gorgeous ones that were way out of my price range. The coat I bought was £56 with 25% off so i'm going to put what was left out of my vouchers towards a new dress or something maybe next week. I saw a lovely red lace dress in the sale too but if i'd bought it it would have meant going into my overdraft which I didn't want to do.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hello all!
RR, glad all went well yesterday and hope you are all as well as can be!
Well, 2 long shifts done, should have been a short shift today, but as predicted there were no senior staff about and I ended up as the boss today, at least it was reasonably quiet, only a couple of fire alarms to deal with!
DS got a place on his training course and started yesterday, they are going to put him through his fork lift truck driving license too and they can get paid up to £15 an hour for doing that, so he has a bit of a smile, thank goodness!
DD came home today with new work uniforms, they look like crumpled rags so tomorrow I will be doing piles of washing then she can iron them, hopefully they don't run as they are navy with white trim!
Right, brain turning to mush, I am shattered! See you all tomorrow!RIP Iain
