G24 parking notice received

I received a PCN today from G24 for an offence on the 16th October. their issue date on their letter is the 31st October. by my reckoning this is 15 days after the offence. Can I tell them to cancel the invoice on this alone or should I go through the process of writing to B&M where we parked and to G24 to appeal the charge.
many thanks in advance
Please start a thread of your own as advice will get confusing on here as to whether it's aimed at you or the OP. And if we have a few more random posters pitching in with their individual cases it will end up in chaos.
Help will come to you on your own thread. Use Blue button top left hand side of the index page, one page back from here. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
