Interesting reading this thread and well done gingergee for not falling for his patter. Your instincts were correct not to trust him. As for the comments by justontime - are you serious? this is just the kind of rubbish I've come to expect from NRP's that avoid paying at all costs, all the pathetic excuses going. A DEO is the only way some PWC get anything, so of course the NRP would want it cancelling if he could - his comment to you gingergee about 'getting behind' says it all really. How can he possibly get behind, don't make me laugh!!

CSAworkerX - your comments once again fail me, to say someone earning over k2 per week for a financial organisation and maybe not wanting them know they are unwilling to pay for their child so would want the DEO cancelling is absolutely disgusting. Shows just how low some NRP's will go, and you have obviously heard that excuse being used. Shame on you.

WOW what a way to bash all NRP's!!

Y'know, not everyone is the same. There are genuine people out there who want to pay, and accept they have to pay by law. There are also people who may used to be a bit of a pain in the you know what, but want to change for the better. You don't know this person's circumstances.

The CSA are very scary. Reading some posts about people suddenly having arrears out of nowhere because CSA decided they have miss-calculated would be horrible. Put yourself in their shoes. How the hell would you feel?! After years of monthly payments going out on time and BAM you owe x thousands.

Just like NRP's, there are also just as many PWC's who have done unforgivable things! But obviously, you wouldn't see that.
  • OP - you do what you feel is best. YOU know this person better than any of us here. My advice would be to think, and re-think about your decision. Keep an open mind but make a wise decision.
  • We are one of those people fighting arrears, being compliant because the CSA are one hell of an organisation to deal with! They seem to be believing everything the pwc says and a lot of nrp's have said the same! We have been compliant as we can ( bearing in mind we have a child in our family & all the NRP's children with the pwc are now over the age the CSA liability )while the whole case is investigated with the help of our MP and all the reasons justintime quoted not to want a DEO are very valid!

Thank you for your comments lovetoread but I am not bashing ALL NRP's, just those consistently avoiding paying, like mine and others I know on here. If you had read it properly you would have realised that.
  • All cases are different. In my case i know my ex well, i know he will hate having to give me money, purely as it means im in control. Saddest thing about it all is he has two lovely children that he refuses to see x
The feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!

The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea
