Any chance of an update? What's the outcome of this?
I had a phone call from the Letting Agent stating that he had told the LL not to call me direct as it was getting a little silly. LA said that he had told the LL that even though he "thinks he has a buyer" nothing is certain and his best bet would be to let me stay until my house is completed the end of February.
I've had no further contact from the LL.0 -
It is his home. He is not being difficult.
Of course he is - he won't move out even if the landlord fulfils all the correct procedure, he will wait for the court to force him out - that in my book is being difficult.
Can you not try and get completion of your house speeded up?
Or ask the landlord if he has a short term let for you to move into until the 25th Feb?
Re: Broadband - rent office space if you need it as no-one is going to install your BB for a few months.
Look at the alternatives before refusing to moveWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -

I'm pretty sure you have not read my post. I have never said I will not move out - only that I expect the LL to honour the contract.0 -
It does not look like LL is following proper procedureOf course he is - he won't move out even if the landlord fulfils all the correct procedure, he will wait for the court to force him out - that in my book is being difficult.
so until the LL does it right, you have little basis on which to criticise OP.Well yesterday (29 October) the LL called me up and told me the EA thinks they have a buyer and they want to move in on November 26th!You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
Thanks for the update. Looks like everyone knows where they stand now, seems like a reasonable outcome to me, lucky to have clued up LA who have taken over communications.0

Thought I'd give an update as it's always good to know what happens in threads.
LL phoned me up yesterday to apologise for the last call. He'd been wound up by the selling EA apparently. As it turns out, the 'sale' fell through so was not quite as good as the EA made out
Long and short - the Letting Agent, who also has the property on the market to sell, has a buyer who wants to knock the house down and rebuild which will take time to get planning. The LA has told the LL that the buyer is happy to wait until I am out when my house is finished being built.
Happy ending
