Well that's a pleasant surprise.

It's one of the tariffs that isn't subject to the forthcoming price rise, so I'll get at least get a couple of months' high winter gas usage at the current rate before it expires on 31st Jan.

Not quite sure why NPower haven't applied the price rise to all of their variable tariffs, but I'm not complaining!

Is it a variable or fixed tariff?
  • I am on Energy on line January 14. Fixed tariff.

    Got notification of price rise.

I posted regarding this on another thread.

Energy Online January 2014 is a variable tariff. Only guaranteed to be 3% lower than the Standard tariff, though usually these 'online' tariffs are much much lower than that.
Why do people keep on thinking these are fixed? (there are loads of threads here with folk moaning because their NPower tariff is going up - read before signing up!)

My point is that in that list above, a few of the variable tariffs, including the one I'm on, aren't going up.

eg Energy Online Jan 14 isn't affected, Energy Online Apr 14 is, Energy Online Oct 14 isn't. All are variable tariffs so I'd have expected them all to go up.
