Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been on for a while - these wedding preparations really keep you busy. I am still struggling to get any quote for under a £1000. Mizz Piink, Black Saturn, Emms, Wonder Girl and Iwanttosave where are you based, I am in Kent - are any of your recommendations near me?

Any other tips on any other wedding money saving greatly appreciated.

Have a look at this guy on ebay. he seems quite cheap but I'm not sure if he charges per mile to call him out if you know what I mean:

The only other wedding saving tip I have is that if your going to a wedding inbetween now and yours is ask for business cards of the people you see working there. I went to my cousins wedding last weekend and have been given offers of discounts because I'm a referral from another customer.

  • My husband and I didn't want a professional photographer, friends and family managed to take hundreds of photos between them and they tranferred them all onto a CD for us.
We'd have felt awkward with someone we didn't know taking pictures of us, all the photos of our big day look so natural and real, I'd highly recommend just getting the guests to take the photos.

I'm sure you'll love them whatever you decide.

There is a thread on here about photgraphers that are sub £500, let me go get a link to it, there are bound to be some on there for you.

Got my snapfish photobooks today and im really not impressed. The square thats cut in the front cover for you to see the pic on the inside through it, isnt very square! The quality of the pics is poor. I thought it would be a lot closer to photo quality than what it is and the back page has a chuffin snapfish logo on it! They dont show you that when your making it up!

why dont you just do it yourself, thats what we are going to do.

my dad will take the posed pics (family, etc), then we will ask guests to simply bring cameras and just click away(its only memory card space).

all the rest of the photos will capture the other things happening throughout the day that we will probably miss. I just cant see the point of spending all that money on something that you're only going to look at once in a blue moon.
