How do you believe the company have received the tax refund?
You really think the HMRC send the company a cheque? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi, no I thought it might be more along the lines of a credit adjustment on one of the pay slips that were not received. I'm not 100% sure that that's what will account for the different figures on the P60 and pay slip but based on the previous conduct of the employer, that is the most logical assumption.
If we can actually get the missing pay slips then obviously we will be able to make a more informed opinion.0 -

Aside from the missing payslips, what did your partner actually receive in pay on those 2 missing weeks?0 -
I can't remember, and he was paid weekly in cash so we're a bit stuck on which way to go now.0

In that case, even with the payslips, your partner can't really prove that he did or did not get paid the correct amount.0 -
So if it was a credit adjustment on a payslip he never got are you saying he never got the pay too?twinkle-star wrote: »Hi, no I thought it might be more along the lines of a credit adjustment on one of the pay slips that were not received. I would not accuse them of anything like you have in the letter.
He should have made sure he got the right pay and pay slip 6 months ago. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Great, thanks for the help.
The letter is not definite, but yes we have evidence of them messing around with previous payslips that don't tally with what was paid.0 -
You are dabbling in things you dont know enough about. Employers dont get tax rebates to give back to employees - by all means ask for the missing last two payslips then take it from there.0

Does anyone know if I have a right to request payslips from the employer and whether they are obliged to comply? Thanks.0
