If anyone else was on this flight and tried claiming please reply. The flight was delayed at short notice by 16 hours. We were in the boarding gate waiting to board our plane when another group of passengers were taken through our gate and boarded our plane. Some of this group said that they had been delayed from the previous day and their plane was waiting for parts (the reason they gave for denying my claim). Monarch chose to allowed the delayed passengers to take our flight and then claimed it was our plane that had a technical issue that needed parts. Although we were given a food voucher (not enough) and put up for the night the whole service was a complete shambles. Non of the staff seemed to know what was going off or what to tell us (obviously they hadn't come up with a valid excuse at the time). I intend to complain to the CAA but hope I can get others on board (excuse the pun) who were on the flight. If not I will persevere alone. Here's hoping for some back up.:money:
