Living In Accom Charges - single

As for maintaining a spouse, married people receive tax benefits and choose to be married and have children - which should be at their expense and not mine.
What tax benefits might they be then?*pinkpanther* wrote: »Sorry could u explain this for me. Do you mean married unaccompanied pay nothing for accommodation? I only ask As we have been unaccompanied for a year now and hubby has always paid for accommodation and cilcot, Granted its next to nothing but would be interesting to know!
Thank you.
Personnel in PSTAT Cat 1 and 2 don't pay SLA charges.0 -

There's a simple solution:
As you are single and do not have a family left behind in your property, a wife with a good job and kids settled in school. you can sell your house and buy one closer to where you are based now.0 -
Or we should all regardless of PSTAT Cat, get a second home allowance at least equal to the MP's, food allowance and fuel allowance...0

Thats a simplistic view if there ever was one. Equally simple the PSTAT 1&2 move in SFA pay a lot less than a mortgage and associated maintenance charges, which compensates for the loss of any income, the kids go into/stay in public school so have continuity of education. Just because I am single its doesnt mean I am as mobile as you would suggest.
Or they can sell their house as well. Its all about choices. There is parity on just about everything else. Not this.0
