    You could try ebaying them.

I was very surprised at the price I got for an MP3 player charger. It went to an overseas bidder and that made me wary it could be a scam. I took a risk and it was fine.

In your listing make sure you get all the tech specs in such as the model numbers of the device it charges etc. The detail will help.

I'm using several hundredweight of the things as loft insulation along with old PC cards, routers, and other cast off technology.
  • Got any old film camera bodies and lenses up there with them Kiwibreaks?

I've also got a load of such items in a huge drawer that's constantly being replenished as a lot of the connections/connectors can be reused on other bits of kit. So i would keep them for about another 30 years at least!
  • Maybe try something like this?

What I want to know is, how the hell you got into my loft?

I hope you haven't moved stuff about, there's order in the chaos you know.

Fleabay them (either individually or as a job lot).

If you've got old camera gear, try places like London Camera Exchange - they might not offer you a lot for it, but they will take most things.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

Or as a last resort your local council tip/recycling centre should have a bin for electrical bits.

Well my collection has grown to the point where it's easier to just order a new cable off eBay (most are 99p delivered) than it is to risk a hernia lugging the umpteen stacker boxes about so I can search them - usually only to find close matches to what's needed but not a perfect fit.

Now that the nights are drawing in you could sort, label, index and catalog them all. :A

Once you've entered all the relevant details into 'the database' you'll be able to find exactly the right one for the job. :D

You have got a database haven't you?

    No?

Now that the nights are drawing in you could create a database that can be used to store all manner of useful data like the catalog of your many and various wall warts. :T

    I have 5 boxes:
    1. Computer cables (this includes phone cables) and computer related power supplies (each power supply has been labelled to identify the related device)
    2. AV cables and AV related power supplies (again labelled)
    3. Electrical cables and timers
    4. Power supplies for things, but I'm not sure what.
    5. Other. (e.g. cigarette lighter adapters)

Then there's the wires - 50 metres of CT125 aerial cable (which I keep meaning to fleabay), and various other pieces of 3 core, 2 core and single core cables which sometimes get used.
