Glad you are ok!
There is a printable voucher for some aero chocolate thing on the Freebies board btw. Sorry didnt pay more attention as I hate chocolate.
Make sure you are eating properly and getting some nutrients! Lentils are a really cheap way of getting loads of protein and you can buy dried beans and things like that for pence and make stews and casseroles. Google vegetarian food on a budget or veggie food for students and you can get some excellent receipes. (I am not trying to convert you but veggie food can be a lot cheaper) Just make sure you read the instructions carefully as some things need to be soaked overnight in cold water before you can cook them.Debt Free - done

Cheers m'luv. Funny you should say that because I've already got some broth mix soaking for use tomorow
I've never knocked veggie food, there's no denying it's good for you and of course it can be cheaper than a cheap thing on national cheap awareness month

I think there is also a box of chocolates you can get sent to you too. Hmmm I guess I should apply for my OH.
I often just make random meals with dried beans and tins of tomatoes and whatever else I can find. Mind you I dont like a lot of expensive stuff so I dont get much choice! Although the Asdas 8 veggie burgers for 1.50 are quite nice.
Hope you have a good evening!Debt Free - done

I was just feeding DF a few minutes ago and he popped out of his little nest made of loo roll......with BOTH eyes wide open and sparkling! :j He's so adoreable. I'm glad that whatever was wrong with his eye seems to have been fixed now. I'll take pictures tonight (he's nocturnal), then I'll need to give thought to releasing him now that he's not impared. Wee bit of joy and sadness in one swoop.Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:

\here yas's go hon!
Mummy’s veggie soup.
(warning!! If you use all veggies you’ll be eating soup for a week!!! Modify to how many people you are serving.
2 good size carrots
1 swede
1 turnip
1 Large potato that is quite firm
1 leek
1sweet potato
any other seasonal/root veggies you like
3 or 4 oxo cubes (veg)
chop all vegetables to dice or cubes
put leek in bottom of saucepan with tablespoon oil for minute or so until transparent
fill pan with water and 3 cubes add salt, pepper and some herbs if you have them (ie basil/coriander)
Add all veggies and pearl barley for those that like it.
bring to boil and simmer for 20 mins or until veggies soft.
Is absolutely lovely recipie and perfect for flasks on a cold day, is quite liquidy so really nice and easy to drink.
Can also be divided into portions and frozen. And very cheap to!!!
(drop me a pm with your e-mail addy hon i'll send you an entire jamie ol,iver book over.debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Thanks alot pania! I'll give the recipie a try when I get the next food shop done (won't be unill next week). I'm a bit inept when it comes to cooking, so I'll need to pay close attention to the steps :rotfl: Anyhoo, I might actually get around to putting my freezer back on again and that way if I make too much I'll just freeze it
Soup for a week? Not a problem, I've got some weight to shift for the end of the year *prods belly*
