So far today I've sold three items, one has been paid already and I'm now awaiting payment for the other two. I had an offer of £1.99 made on a gold locket and chain, I nearly snorted coffee all over my monitor when I saw that. As the saying goes up here, Bolt, ya nugget!
Anyway, here's the chart I mentioned earlier. It's available with the ebay shops package. Bearing in mind I'll only recieve the £74, the rest of my sales paid for my ebay fees
Anyhoo:
So now I'm on an unexpected mission. To make £500 in ten days. If I was any more stressed my hair would start falling out....again.Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:

I know you are trying to help your mum and probably want to but can she not sell it herself? Or pawn it herself? If you give her your ring then the ring might not sell will you be able to manage? I'm just wondering why you feel this is so much your responsbility? Although having said that I know where you are coming from because I take on alot of responsibilites that are not mine and people seem to just expect it of me now although they are grateful if that makes any sense..... Anyway good luck whatever you decide.
I've pretty much always wanted to do well by my mum because I owe her my life. I don't mean that in the 'she gave birth to me' kind of way. I mean, when my dad found out she was pregnant to him at 21, he told her he wanted her to have a termination. Because my mum stood her ground and refused to do so, this is why they broke up and she was left to bring me up on her own. My dad was and still is a wealthy man, he could have offered her a life so diferent from the one she choose if she hadn't carried me. I've always felt that I owe her everything, like I have a cross to bare. I'm not burdoned by knowing the back story to my arrival, I'm just eternally gratefull. Besides, I consider myself to be her guardian in a way. I was meant for this world to be there for her through thick and thin. So no matter what she wants or chooses to do with her life, I stick by her, and do my very best to help.

Sounds like she is one lucky mum too :A
Just make sure you keep a balance though if you know what I mean because like I said before I know how those of us who take on this kind of responsibilty can take on too much and we make it look so easy people don't even realise how much we have exactly put ourselves out.
From reading your post you are very capable of making this work and you seem to throw yourself into sorting out anything that comes your way and that is a very special quality I hope you get sorted with it.0 -
Thanks so much Mae xDebt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:

Right. It's a big long one, I hope you'll be sitting comfy when you read this
I wanted to retail on ebay years ago when I found a supplier, but, my ex held me back. Now that I'm 2 years rid of him I'm finally using the supplier I found four years ago!
A very close and good friend of mine who recently sold his flat, offered to put cash my way to help me get started. All he wanted to do was to see me doing something that would make me happy, and by god it did! I listed an auction on ebay for a package my supplier had in stock. Once the package sold I was in shock. The package was £1,600 to purchase, I sold it for £1,950. So that was me, £350 up on my first sale which gave me the cash to repay my friend and purchase another smaller lot to resell.
And that's about it really. I hope it doesn't sound too cryptic, I've already got about eight other competitors, I don't want anymore(just kidding x)

I need to stay awake for the next HOUR because I have three auctions ending and I need to be here incase anyone makes an offer (which, in my current situation, I really cannot refuse!).
Good news though. Sold another item! so that's boosted my total a bit. hopefully whoever has been watching two of the three auctions yet to finish, has a bid placed and ready to go with bid assistant on eBay. Anyhoo. Here's how things look now:
From the twelve auctions I had today I've sold four and have eight left untill I get more photographs taken and more items listed. Hopefully tomorow I'll have my other two buyers paying up. I wish it was 02.05 already *yawn*Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:

Thanks for that, was just curious. As I said in a previous post, I always wonder how people do this sort of thing so you've solved another of life's little mysteries. Hmm... *thnks* I'm trying to think of things that are in high demand that would sell fast over the internet but I'm stuck on drugs and I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work lol j/k. Not a problem m'dear
Besides, whatever you decide to sell doesn't have to be like, new to the market, shipped in from foreign lands. It's more about how you go about the sale of the item. Your edge that others selling the same thing don't have. Anyhoo, I'll stop sounding patronising now
