Where to buy a leather sofa (with great customer service!)

Over the years I've bought a few from firms that advertise in Sunday supplements, sofasofa.com, Thomas Lloyd etc. Though their bases are in Wales they occasionally have selling exhibitions in hotels near Heathrow but will send you samples/swatches of leathers and have been happy to answer questions over the phone. You really need to know what sizes, seat depth and everything that best suits you then find the appropriate modess in the catalogues. No smarmy salespeople and generally cheaper than the furniture sheds.0

Thanks for this. It seems that none of these places do recliner sofas :-(0 -

Me & my family all have Multiyork furniture & the quality & customer service is 2nd to none. It may not be the cheapest, but it is built to last & carries on looking good year after year. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

Same here. I was impressed with how little pressure they put on us in the store to make a purchase. My sister bought some leather sofas from Harveys a year ago and they still look like new.
We didnt have a huge budget for our new sofas and to be honest I would have been more choosy if I was spending £1800. For the money we had I am happy with our choice. Our last sofas were cheap jobs from Argos and we ended up keeping them for 10 years so if these last as long I will be very happy!0 -
Just to add that my sofa from Indigo is analine leather, and you can request leather samples. I personally (sorry to disagree with poster above!) would not recommend it if you have small children though as it is not a simple wipe clean option, more care is needed - though I have spilt coffee all over mine and it did recover eventually!
I think you may have mis-read my post as I did not recommend aniline when you have children, I said that the cheaper forms of leather but if you still wanted quality then Semi-Aniline because it has a protective coating.
I had also stated earlier about Aniline absorbing moisture, and that it was probably the reason why another poster's experience of wearing denim leaving blue marks on the leather was because it was the higher quality leather and so therefore probably Top Grain or Aniline Leather.0 -
Harveys sell Natuzzi, but they dont lable them clearly to tell you they are this make. its an excellent brand, mine are. 14 years old- bought from a local store. Ask them to show you then wait for the sale.
They are far better quality that own cheap makes.0 -

Very nice, good service, good delivery.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
Thanks for this. It's often tricky finding a reclining leather sofa. Tried John Lewis and next and neither have any. They have around £1800 to spend on 2 x 2 seater sofas.
i bought 2 leather sofa's with recliners
a 3 seater and a 2 seater
the 3 seater had 2 recliners and the 2 seater both reclined
it was 100% cow leather, and not bonded leather or a mix leather as some sell
from an independant seller in coventry he delivered to london for £1100
i would always negociate and £1800 is a great budget to get the top of the range0
