hahahaha that is brilliant pinks :D reading that just cheered me right up :)

why did i need cheering up - banks are @**holes thats why! I phoned to make the payment of my settlement figure and clear my last debt only to find the "direct number" i was given was not in fact the right department to authorise the settlement and the £915 i have just paid has been taken off my bill instead of clearing it. I have been trying to get it sorted since first thing this morning but the people i was able to talk to before in order to arrange the settlement figure in the first place do not talk to customers on the phone!!!!!!! uuuuummmm who was i talking to before then you ******* a flipin alien???? aaaahhhhhhhhh

So i am still not debt free and feel like stabbing anyone from Barclays with my pencil!!!:mad::mad:

please excuse my rant - i am sure you all understand my need to vent!! :o

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That has actually just made a little bit of coffee squirt out of my nose hehehehehe

I know exactly where you're coming from, for some reason the last payment is always the one that causes the most stress. I'm sure you'll get it sorted out ;) Surely adding the payment will clear your balance anyway? or are you accumulating interest daily?

LOL clean your desk :P glad it made you laugh :rotfl:

The settlement figure i got is less than the debt - the debt is actually £1500 odds but they agreed i could pay £915 and they would wipe out the remainder, so now i technically still owe them £585 :eek:

Oooh 89p from qmee :D had to reinstall the app - was wondering why i wasn't getting any searches!

I know it's not moneysaving, and an awful expense given that it is technically still just a phone, but I love them, and have been ripped off for the last 4 years on contracts for the things. So had spent the last 6 weeks comparing tarriffs and deals and methods of obtaining a new model without being sucked into a long term contract that will bleed my account dry at £50pcm + a fair whack up front. The best I could do is £99 upfront + £46pcm for 24 months, total due = £1203:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: NO! NO! NO! that's disgusting!!!

I did this last year - buying a Sim free one (in America, so I got about £50 off anyway) and a £10 a month Sim card - it worked out something like £300 cheaper over two years! I'm going to get a 5s at Florida Mall later this month. I don't care - being able to transfer photos from my phone to iPad helps me earn a lot on eBay, so I can justify it :p

  • Hi all, a bit of a bad start for me. Had a manic weekend and didn't even get the chance to do Nectar adpoints this week so since the 1st Nov I have only managed to gain 87p in Nectar points but I have spent loads of time signing up for some new survey sites (Now at £2.30) and Swagbucks which is now at 97 points.
Oh I do want to live in Countryside.......with the kids, pets and LOTS of books.........

gutted about the tennis tickets. I told the lady to give them to someone else as couldn't go. OH told some people at work and they wanted to buy them off him for £200  :o

he told me not to bother with them! should have gone ahead and accepted them but couldn't get to to London to give them to anyone today and I wasn't sure if he was working! Men!

£20 from a friend for helping out with her son last week ferrying him to and from holiday club with my bad leg...

I'm off and running with £17 from a craft fair and 6p roadkill found in Farm Foods at the tills. (before this thread I never used to look for money but I am now :)).

    So I'm at £17.06 already :j
